Moving from doctoral work to a faculty position is a process. Changes occur in personal/professional identities, geographic/academic environments, personal/professional relationships, and finances. The pressure to succeed remains, however, and sometimes intensifies. This session will discuss the transition from doctoral student to faculty and extend through the first year of employment. Join us for a discussion of the strategies for success utilized by three counselor educators and hear about varied approaches to gracefully navigating the transition.
